Students do not have school on Monday, February 21 or Tuesday, February 22. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, February 23.
Thank you Denver Health for bringing the vaccination clinic to CMS; many children and adults received COVID-19 vaccinations! Thank you Lifespan Local and Denver Inner City Parish / Veggies Rx for being at the community event and for all of your support.
From the Health Office:
“CMS School is partnering with the Public Health Institute at Denver Health to offer in-school immunizations to students at Denver Public Schools in order to ensure students have a healthy school year. This program is available and free of charge to any student regardless of health insurance type or status.
In-school immunization clinic date: March 8th
About the In-School Immunization Program:One signed consent form allows your child to participate in any In-School Immunization Program clinic during the school year. With a completed consent, your child will receive any appropriate/needed vaccines if they are not up-to-date, so please make sure the school nurse has your child’s most up-to-date record. Please make sure your child has eaten breakfast before coming to school on the clinic date. Consent forms should have gone home with your student, but they are also available in the main office or nurses’ office. The covid vaccine is also available. Denver Health will be able to provide the second dose of the vaccine at another immunization clinic held at CMS on a later date. If you have signed a consent form, but no longer want to participate in the immunization program, please let us know.

Our beautiful Resource Center is open Thursdays, 1 pm-3pm. There are many selections of food available, and there is clothing too!

Attendance
We want students at school and on time every day (no later than 8:15 am) so that they can engage in every minute of learning.
