Hi! My name is Anne Hursta, and I am the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at CMS
Community School. This is my 21st school year at CMS Community School and 25th
year in Denver Public Schools. I work with a variety of students who have speech,
language and/or fluency needs.
In the past, I also worked as a medical SLP for Centura Health (Porter, St. Anthony
Central, St. Anthony North and Littleton Adventist hospitals) in addition to working in the
schools. I received my Bachelor’s degree, in Communication Disorders, from
Metropolitan State University of Denver in 1996. Then, I obtained my Master’s degree,
in Speech-Language Pathology, from the University of Wyoming in 1998.
I love working with the students and families at CMS. I really enjoy helping students
improve their speech and language skills to help them be able to communicate
effectively.
I have lived in Colorado since I was 12, but am originally from Texas. I live with my
husband, daughter and dogs (Posie & Pirate). For fun I like to hike, read, go
snowshoeing and shopping.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Anne Hursta y soy la patóloga del habla y el lenguaje (SLP) en CMS. Escuela Comunitária. Este es mi 21° año escolar en CMS Community School y el 25° año en las Escuelas Públicas de Denver. Trabajo con una variedad de estudiantes que tienen necesidades de habla, lenguaje y/o fluidez. En el pasado, también trabajé como SLP médico para Centura Health (Porter, St. Anthony Central, St. Anthony North y Littleton Adventist hospitales) además de trabajar en el escuelas. Recibí mi licenciatura, en Trastornos de la Comunicación, de Universidad Estatal Metropolitana de Denver en 1996. Luego, obtuve mi maestría, en Patología del Habla y Lenguaje, de la Universidad de Wyoming en 1998. Me encanta trabajar con los estudiantes y las familias de CMS. Realmente disfruto ayudando a los estudiantes mejorar sus habilidades de habla y lenguaje para ayudarlos a poder comunicarse efectivamente. He vivido en Colorado desde que tenía 12 años, pero soy originario de Texas. Vivo con mi esposo, hija y perros (Posie & Pirate). Para divertirme me gusta caminar, leer, ir de salida con raquetas de nieve y ir de compras.
